Model IT503 Impact Tester

The Model IT503 is a contained impact tester with an integrated Digital Display/Controller for a high degree of flexibility, accuracy & test data resolution to meet all testing needs. Pick and choose optional fixtures and weights to meet the testing requirements of your material.

Key Features of Model IT 503

  • Aerodynamic compound pendulum that can accommodate weights to increase test capacity

  • Interlocked safety doors to ensure pendulum cannot be released with these doors open

  • Simple and rapid change between Izod and Charpy test setup

  • Conforms to all applicable European CE Directives.

Optional Features of Model IT 503

  • Automatic braking system for increased safety and higher throughput

  • Motorized pendulum return for added safety

  • Pneumatic Izod clamping system for higher test repeatability

  • Pneumatic specimen rack and feed system for more automated testing

  • Hot and cold chambers for testing at different temperatures

This system does not require a separate PC and software in order to operate. However, a data acquisition/machine control software package is available as an option.
