Modular vacuum : local area vacuum network VACUU•LAN®

Applications

The Vacuum Local Area Network VACUU•LAN® operates multiple work stations with vacuum using one single pump. The various modules serve the requirements of common applications, e.g., rotary evaporators, vacuum concentrators, gel dryers, drying chambers, filtration.

VACUU•LAN® modules VCL

Different pre-assembled modules are available to serve the requirements of common applications. All pre-assembled modules are factory tested for leaktightness. Every vacuum port consists of modular components: one connecting part, one basic part, one or several operating parts.

Step 1: Choice of the most suitable connecting part

The connecting parts are the connection between the vacuum network tubing and the VACUU•LAN® - modules (see step 2). Main criteria for the choice of the connecting part A1, A2, A3 or A5 should be whether the VACUU•LAN® will be installed onto existing furniture or whether it is planned for integration into a new laboratory.

Connecting part A1:
Using the connecting part A1 allows surface mounting of the vacuum tubing. In most cases this is needed when the VACUU•LAN® is installed onto existing furniture in a laboratory.

Connecting part A2:
Using the connecting part A2 allows to integrate the vacuum tubing into the furniture of the laboratory (under panel mounting).

Connecting part A3:
Using the connecting part A3 allows to integrate the vacuum tubing into the furniture of the laboratory. It is screwed into special adapters already in the furniture.

Connecting part A5:
Using the connecting part A5 allows to integrate the vacuum tubing into the funiture of the laboratory. Mounting from the front side.

Step 2: Choice ofthe most suitable module

Manual flow control module VCL 01:
with manual flow control to open or close the vacuum line and to control the volume flow rate

Shut off - / manual flow control module VCL 02:
a manual flow control to control the volume flow rate combined with a ball valve which allows a quick closing or opening to the vacuum line. Set flow control is maintained.

Automatic control module VCL 10:
the electromagnetic isolation valve, in combination with vacuum controller CVC 2", provides automatic vacuum control.

Manual flow control - / automatic control module VCL 11:
with manual flow control to control the volume flow rate and an electromagnetic isolation valve for automatic vacuum control. Manual flow control for adaption to small volumes or volatile solvents.

Shut off module VCL K:
with ball valve which allows a quick closing or opening to the vacuum line.

Manual flow control module for hoods VCL AR
Manual flow control module for hoods VCL AR consists of a manual control unit for installation outside of the hood and a separate vacuum port for installation inside of the hood.

Automatic control module for hoods VCL AE
Automatic control module for hoods VCL AE consists of an automatic control unit for installation outside of the hood and a separate vacuum port for installation inside of the hood. For proper use of the vacuum controller CVC 2" there is an additional measuring port inside the hood.

Manual flow control - / shut off - / gauge modul VCL RKM:
like VCL 02, additionally with a bourdon vacuum gauge to follow and control the vacuum.
